She loves to ride.....walks a little slower, takes her time getting up....
But overall is doing famously....
Verna always has a smile on, you can see it even here.
This is her way to travel in the woods....
Life is good....
She has made a fast recovery and I think we all have too, we are so
very grateful for her safe return. It is so hard to be missing a part of
the family who is so very dear to us....We love are sweet creatures..
As a kid we had every creature one can think of...on the farm we collected animals. Big and small, with every name you can think of. There were ducks, geese, chickens, rabbits, goats, cows, pigs, horses, dogs, sheep, and cats...although the kitty's were seasonal, they were still a part of the farm. I named them all, with hope that by naming them they would stay with me forever.
I even named the cows, and the seasonal kitty's.....
I did not like having to do the chores, the geese were mean to me, they guarded the yard and the well house... the cows made no room for us in the lot. The horses always found a way out and off to the neighbors. The rabbits would bite and find a way for us to have stitches.
Every animal on that farm had a personality and were very proud of their names. But we never said no to one in need and although we didn't have much for funds we always found a way to feed each one, and make them a home. Life on the farm was hard work, but the animals didn't know it and were at home.
For now we stick to doggies, fish and a bunny. No seasonal kitty's but I'm sure if there were I'd name him quick and feed him a treat or two....
In Verna's life, she has it so good...a family that loves her and would do anything for her, even drive her special every day in the woods to take a look around. She may not be able to run the woods but she is able to smell every scent and hear every sound. She is blessed...We are blessed....by a crazy old dog.....
