Yesterday..........she was taken, she has vanished.......without a trace...............
The weather this weekend has been wonderful, we started our spring with a fantastic weekend...It was warm, fun filled, and relaxing.
The phone call came that she was missing...
I was half way home with friends and had to still drop them off to their loved ones. The vehicle couldn't possibly move fast enough. My heart was aching and wanting to scream. How?Why ? Why would someone want an old dog that has been with us for nine years? She is ours, she is family...we are so very lost....where do you begin?
We have walked for miles just calling her name but there is not a sound, or a whimper, even the birds are silent.
Waiting and hoping we find her and bring her home.
The night came and so did all hope....now we are left with only tears and questions.
She is our sweet sweet dog...we rescued her, and have loved her ever since.
We named her what may seem crazy, but that's what were known for naming our sweets and bringing a smile to your face.
She is Verna. She is the dog that loves every one and trusts them whole heartily. Come for a visit and she'll lean in and give you love.....
Today all we can do is search, try to make phone calls and cry.........
And ask "Have you seen my sweet, sweet girl....
