layout love....

There are some days that you just love a layout.  This is not one of them.  Yet so many friends have Loved this one, I figured I'd share.

The butterflies are from a Ek success borders punch, that I cut apart.  I know cute huh?  The title work is graph paper and the font is cut with my Slice...it is the Mix and Mingle cart. got it for a steal at Two Peas.  It is then misted and inked to give it some dimension.  The pretty papers are from Basic Grey and House of Three....  Stamp: Studio Calico and embossed.  Finally, the flower.  Yes, it is a zipper, a real zipper from my vintage stash.  I simply cut a circle out of card stock, the size I wanted and covered it in super sticky adhesive,  then gave the zipper a spin.  Finish off with a fabric brad and whallllaaa.  Love it!!!

Thanks to everyone who loved this layout.  This is layout of the weekend that when it was finished "I said nah"  It is always fun and encouraging to get such a positive response.

As many of you know I have been cleaning.  Well slow but sure... So what could a metal vintage green box hold?  Well........

How about lovely vintage Ric Rac......

Of course it is sized and colorized.....

My go to Ric Rac is almost always the tiny stuff, so that sits out in a sweet enamel bowl .  Nearly every layout I create has a touch of Ric Rac and a button or two.....

A special thanks goes out to my mom and dad who seem to always have an eye for the good stuff for the studio.  All of the treasures they find, never go untouched here!!  Got love 'em!!

What's coming next?  A love hate relationship with Thickers and great button storage ideas.  The ideas are for the re purpose and the up cycle of goodies in your home.  Without spending  more than a dime or two....

Be creative everyday! ~L

studio organized!

Studio is getting some spring cleaning....

I have had many questions of what is that?
So....
1.  A vintage wire rack found item.  A perfect fit.
2.  A vintage bedside table.. used for the sewing machine.
3.  A vintage heavy, very heavy, cattle waterer.  I love it only hope I don't ever drop it on a toe!

Got a few layouts done this weekend!  I am in love with Crate Paper and all their new lines.  If you haven't checked them out you must they are delightful.  I will be sad when they are gone!

barn door is open!!

A true sign of spring!!  Yip the neighbors cows were out.

Keep in mind we live in town.  Granted it is on the edge of town, next to a farm.  I am walking into the front room, and there stood 2 black dark figures looking at the house, head on at a distance.  It took me awhile to register, just what was standing in the grape vine fields.
As they made their way toward me I realized it was true....the cows are out!  Dang they want to stay out.  It is spring,  it was time to make their break and run free through the park.
No worries the owner found them pretty quick and all is fine.

What a great way to start a day.~L

time goes by..

It has been a year today..that heaven called your name and you followed.  I believe that you have become earths most sacred angel..I believe you have become our guardian angel, just as you were on earth.  I believe that although you are gone, your presence is everywhere.

Your material life has left us only missing you more.  Sometimes we will tell people close to us that we couldn't go on with out them.  It seems that many days, it is true about you.  We are kind of, in the same spot we were a year ago.  So much has changed and happened, but none of it really seems to matter.  It is only part of lifes motions.

Your heart was pure, honest, and so giving....that your absence overwhelms us many days.  I only can hope that you will be my daughters guardian angel for her life ahead of her.  If I know you are watching over her I will always be at peace.  She will then follow the path of strength, joy and love.

As I plant and pick out my flowers for spring I am reminded that this earth can never have enough flowers...each season Gramma planted soooo many flowers that often times people would think it was too many.  Her only response would be "Did you see how beautiful they all are?"  Many times we fail to "see" that true beauty of this life.  She seen it so often and all we did was move along with her.

Gramma had seen, that it was to give, to this earth and life we were in.  Not to take.  May we all be more giving....Plant this earth with goodness and hope.  Hope for a better day each morning we are allowed to rise and be a part of this earth.

We love and miss you everyday, of our lives and we will continue to miss you in all of the days to come.   Love to you Gramma....

We are never so lost our angels cannot find us.
